| Louise Glover joins E.G. Arghyrakis & Co. | |
Louise Glover will join George Arghyrakis and William Cawley at E G Arghyrakis & Co, on 25th September 2006. "I am delighted to be joining George and William, it is an exciting firm with a refreshing outlook. It has established an excellent reputation and has an impressive client following" Louise Glover began her career at Richards Butler (1979 - 1991) where she worked with senior shipping law figure George Hardee, gaining experience of a wide variety of high profile cases, including charterparty, bill of lading, general average, ship sale and purchase and shipbuilding disputes. Some of those cases remain leading authorities today. She then joined niche commercial and maritime solicitors Holmes Hardingham as a partner, with a practice comprising a wide mix of Shipowner and Charterer clients and an emphasis on charterparty and bill of lading disputes. In 2004 she moved to maritime lawyers Davies Johnson & Co in Plymouth, as a partner, adding oil trading and commodity experience to her portfolio. But the pull of London became irresistible and she returns to join long-term friends George Arghyrakis and William Cawley. “I thoroughly enjoyed being part of Davies Johnson, it is a very professional firm with a good atmosphere and delightful location. From that background, I had very particular demands of a new firm, in terms of atmosphere and ethos, and E G Arghyrakis & Co met them all.
