North Sea Tanker Collision

On March 10th, 2025, the U.S.-flagged oil tanker Stena Immaculate was carrying jet fuel intended for the U.S. Air Force. The Portuguese-flagged container ship Solong collided with the stationary tanker in the North Sea near England. The crash caused explosions and a fuel spill, leading to the evacuation of 36 crew members. The Russian captain of the Solong was arrested following suspicions of gross negligence manslaughter.
